Tomorrow’s high flyers picked out with release of the latest EN 30/30
The rising stars of the events industry have been revealed after Exhibition News announced its list of the newest recruits to its ’Thirty Under 30’ group.
Now into its third year, the intention of the EN 30/30 is to highlight the leading talents who seem set to play a big part in the future of the industry.
LiveBuzz, the leading event registration, website and staffing provider, is a key supporter of this initiative and has sponsored the initiative for past couple of years. For 2017’s LiveBuzz is also represented within the EN 30/30 group by one of its rising stars, senior exhibition services manager Rachael Williamson.
Commenting on the announcement of this year’s list, Justin Craig, joint managing director at LiveBuzz, said: “It’s wonderful to see that Rachael, one of the leading lights of our organisation, has been recognised within this group of high flyers. Rachael joined LiveBuzz over four years, having graduated from Coventry University with a first class degree in Event Management. Since joining Rachael has demonstrated all the qualities required to be successful in the event sector. She has shining qualities of sacrifice, loyalty, hard work and a genuine desire to muck in and get her hands dirty. Utilising her academic abilities, Rachael has added value through creating detailed frameworks and procedures, exemplary project management and a meticulous eye for detail. Ultimately Rachael cares, she cares about her colleagues, her clients and takes complete pride and responsibility for what she does.”
Justin continued: “While I’m delighted for Rachael, I’m just as happy that LiveBuzz has been able to sponsor this initiative in recent years. It’s an incredibly worthwhile initiative which reminds us all just how important it is to develop - and appreciate - the next generation of talent within the industry. Bringing together a talented group of young individuals every year, and celebrating their contributions reminds us how they are lifeblood of what we do. The industry recognises that academia needs to market the Event Sector as a worthy career path, and the EN Thirty Under 30 initiative demonstrates how exciting those careers can be.”
Rachael comments: “I am delighted to have been accepted into the 30 nominated under 30’s. Meeting my peers at The Grand Hotel in London, I am proud to be part of such an inspiring group of young professionals. I’ve always been passionate about a career in events, it’s hard work and I love every minute of it. I’m looking forward and excited about where my future career in events leads me”.
The EN Thirty Under 30 initiative was launched in 2015 as a way of recognising outstanding up-and-coming individuals in the exhibition industry. It aims to give a platform to highlight their outstanding achievements as well as offering them the chance to learn from each other and leading industry figures.
Members of the EN 30/30 have gone on to appear on panels at International Confex, the AEO Conference and AEO Forums as well as regularly contributing articles and commentary to Exhibition News.
